What free SSL really means
Many hosting providers include domain-validated SSL certificates through AutoSSL or a supported certificate authority. 84PAD does not add a charge for managing supported certificates; a domain, hosting account or commercial certificate can still cost money.
How cPanel AutoSSL renewal works
When a hosting provider enables AutoSSL, it checks eligible domain names and may issue or renew certificates on its own schedule. DNS records, validation and provider limits determine whether issuance succeeds.
Keep certificate status in one place
Use a permission-controlled connection to inspect domain certificate status, review reported problems and request supported AutoSSL checks. Checking a certificate does not bypass the hosting provider or force an issuance.
Fix common SSL problems
Expired or incorrect certificates often involve DNS mismatch, excluded hostnames, failed domain validation or host restrictions. Inspect the relevant cPanel SSL/TLS tools and resolve the underlying reason before retrying.
